The engineer will be responsible for a broad set of testing activities—including chemical adjustments, conductivity, titrations, ICP analysis, etch rate and stress‑corrosion evaluations—and will work closely with internal teams and customers to refine CP and NCM operating sheets, schedules, software controls, databases and work instructions. They will conduct annual internal audits against customer and Nadcap checklists for both chemical processing and non‑conventional machining, perform weekly walk‑throughs of CP and NCM areas, and develop and optimize advanced machining processes such as laser cutting/drilling and wire EDM, programming equipment to meet dimensional and metallurgical requirements.
Collaboration with Quality and Special Process groups is required to meet NADCAP, AS9100 and customer‑specific standards, while driving root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or 7 + years equivalent experience), have at least two years in manufacturing or quality engineering, be authorized to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship and be compliant with ITAR/EAR regulations. Preferred experience includes hands‑on laser/EDM programming, strong material‑behavior knowledge, process documentation expertise, CAD/CAM proficiency, Lean or Six Sigma certification, and aerospace industry background.
