Reporting to the Principal Geotechnical Engineer, the Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for the modelling, analysis and reporting activities to ensure that a high standard of quality is achieved for the assigned projects. The Engineer is also responsible for providing technical input to project teams to ensure that technical standards and efficiencies are achieved and that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints.

Preparation and review of geotechnical reports.
Assessment of Soil liquefaction and seismic deformation etc.
Numerical modelling and analysis using software such as Slope/w, Plaxis and Flac.
Compilation of field investigation data for input, which leads to the creation of design parameters.
Design of ground improvement.
Assessment of slope stability, foundation bearing capacities and settlements etc.

Commitment to travel interstate and internationally when required.
Demonstrated experience in geotechnical investigation and analysis of foundations, embankments and cut slopes, etc.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
An understanding of technical aspects of geotechnical investigations, civil/geotechnical designs, documentation and civil/geotechnical projects.
Familiarity with use of Slope/W, Plaxis, Flac and AutoCad software will have added advantages.
Experience with highly technical and complex report writing.
A strong foundation and expertise in soil mechanics.
A bachelor degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering. Post-graduate qualification will be highly regarded.
Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience within the civil and mining industry.
