Contribute to the ongoing development of the Structural Engineering Team to deliver and implement best practice technical solutions by applying knowledge of industry developments and from experience.
Prepare specifications, design criteria, scope of work and material take-off lists.
Maintain a high level of communication with the Project Manager / Engineering Manager and regularly inform of technical activities, staffing, budgets and schedules and explain reasons for actions taken.
Prepare engineering proposals and monitor budgets, staying within the assigned budget and report any discrepancies.
Ensure Structural Design Deliverables are completed according to standards, checked, approved, and issued to other disciplines and to the client with revision control documentation.
Act in client facing role to lead and coordinate the activities of a project team to ensure time and budget objectives are achieved.

Enhanced knowledge of the Engineering ISO, AS, ANSI, API etc. standard design codes.
Accreditation as a Charter Engineer (or equivalent) or ability to obtain
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to mentor and support the development of structural engineers within the Ausenco team
10+ years’ proven technical experience with an engineering consulting firm or other large organisation. Construction experience is desirable.
Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and as part of a multidisciplinary group.
Strong design experience in brownfield environment highly desirable
Demonstrated experience in the design of steel structures and concrete foundations for industrial and mining projects.
Demonstrated experience in client facing project management roles, leading design teams to deliver project outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering.
