Qualifies and approves suppliers in cooperation with Commodity Managers, and plans and executes supplier audits including follow up of audit measures.
Feed into the Commodity Supplier Dashboards to detect and analyse non-conformance patterns and communicate with supplier. Supports sustainable problem solving and root-cause analysis.
Provide input to weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and ensure attendance at the key operational meetings.
Collaborates in the new product introduction process to ensure that the supply base has the correct and aligned specification required to deliver through volume production.
Follow up on all open RCA’s with the Supply Base to ensure timely and robust conclusion.
First line of support when there is a supplier quality issue. Works with the Supplier, Manufacturing, Field and Supply Base teams to develop a root cause and corrective action (RCA) plan within the required timeframe, while implementing containment and immediate mitigation to ensure minimal customer disruption.
Drives performance and continuous improvement management and collaborates in supplier development programs.

Knowledge of ISO9001 quality management system or similar.
A good knowledge of Procurement processes and experience working alongside Commodity/Category managers.
Practical knowledge of production technology e.g. industrial level electronics assembly or manufacturing
Demonstrated approach to the application of quality methods and analytical tools e.g. APQP, Six Sigma, RCA, 5Y, 8D etc.
Track record of early engagement and close collaboration in new product development.
Quality Experience within a manufacturing or civil engineering environment
Audit experience - certified to ISO19011 or equivalent preferred but not essential as training can be given.
Engineering qualifications, HNC or Degree preferred.
