Description

The dishwasher’s purpose is to perform kitchen cleaning and storage tasks, including washing dishes, pots, and equipment, as well as janitorial duties in dining areas. They must follow sanitary procedures and comply with federal, state, and local food safety regulations.

Core duties involve setting up and maintaining the dish and pot washing stations, operating dish machines according to food safety standards, and sanitizing all dishware, silverware, glassware, utensils, and cookware. Additional responsibilities include cleaning production equipment such as stoves, ovens, fryers, microwaves, mixers, slicers, refrigeration units, work tables, prep sinks, and ventilation hoods.

• Operate dishwashing machines to sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pot and pan sink area
• Clean and sanitize large production equipment (stoves, ovens, fryers, etc.)
• Perform janitorial duties in the dining room, bistro, and related areas
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of relevant experience.

• Provide a minimum of one year of dishwashing or related experience
