Supports the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of Safety, including training, safety protective equipment and clothing, and adhering to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades or skills.

Maintains and operates company vehicles and/or tools and equipment in compliance with company policy.
Apply paint with brushes, rollers, spray guns or other methods as required
Prudent management of Government Furnished Property (GFP) assigned to and under employee’s jurisdiction.
Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old finish or placing putty or filler in nail holes and interstices.
Follow established safety procedures and use safety protective equipment and clothing as required.
Participates in snow removal operations.
Ensure proper housekeeping practices are observed.
Assists other crafts and trade personnel in their daily operations.
Tasks may be performed in uneven, inclined, hard and soft-carpeted surfaces/floors, cement structures and surfaces.
Follow all Federal, State and Local Safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Performs a variety of painting, corrosion control, and related functions. Paint and redecorate interior or exterior walls, all types of woodwork, parts tools, and fixtures.

U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
Adherence to all safety and health rules and regulations
Knowledge of surface peculiarities and type of paint required for different applications.
Works from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal and written instructions.
Ability to pass drug screen and background check.
Ability to use tools, equipment, chemicals, pesticides, etc. to perform essential functions of the job.
Ability to use standard office equipment/tools as may be required for the position (computer, phone, copy machine, hand-held radio, etc.)
Possesses and maintains a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Five years journeyman painter.
General knowledge of hand and power tools.

Working closely and harmoniously with fellow workers
Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/ common access card.
Compliance with contract requirements and CGS/CCSL policies and procedures, including Rules of Conduct.
