Financial Reporting Manager

Description

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to support a leading manufacturing organization in Chicago. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and tax provisions, while serving as a key liaison between plant management, corporate finance, and external auditors.

The Financial Reporting Manager will provide financial and tax analysis to strengthen operational decision-making and compliance, playing a pivotal role in the company’s continued growth.

• Support internal controls (J-SOX) and audit processes
• Manage journal entries, top-side adjustments, and closing entries
• Lead communication between plants, corporate reporting, and external auditors
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages and statements
• Partner with tax specialists on provisions, filings, and regulatory changes
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis, system upgrades, and research projects (e.g., GAAP vs. IFRS)

Requirements

• Proven experience preparing financial statements and reporting packages
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills
• 7+ years of accounting and/or tax experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, US GAAP, and tax regulations (IFRS exposure a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to manage audits and collaborate with external parties
