The specialist assists material handling with storage and preventive maintenance, communicates inspection results and corrective actions, supports strategic planning, prepares quality control Inspection Test Plans (ITP), performs measurement and testing, conducts welder performance qualification testing, and verifies installation of systems and components according to the assigned discipline.
The role provides specialized technical expertise supporting the Project Quality Management Program through inspection, testing, training, statistical methods, audits, and quality tools for problem solving and assessment. The incumbent must be proficient in structural steel erection, bolt‑up inspections, architectural and concrete work, and hold a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification. Additional expertise is required in electrical/instrumentation, mechanical, and piping inspections, following relevant codes such as AISC, AWS D1.1, IEC, IEEE, ISA, NEC, NESC, NFPA, and others.
Applicants need at least 2 years of construction experience, 5 years in quality control inspection, a high school diploma, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
The position requires use of personal protective equipment, frequent reaching above shoulder height and below the waist, occasional stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or stairs, as well as regular use of hands to lift, push, or pull objects. The employee must comply with all safety standards, interact with people throughout the shift, and be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
