The employee will secure job assignments, interpret operation sequences, and gather required materials and tooling using pendant‑controlled cranes, fork trucks, and pallet jacks. Responsibilities include preparing work areas from drawings and instructions, operating parts cleaners, ceramic core equipment, wax presses, steam autoclaves, sintering and heat‑treating furnaces, and performing inspections, alloy checks, and post‑cast finishing. The worker must also maintain safety protocols, keep the workspace clean, and identify process‑improvement opportunities.
- Secure job assignments and interpret operation sequences using engineering drawings and instructions.
- Gather required materials, tooling, and equipment with pendant‑controlled cranes, fork trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Set up, load, unload, and operate parts cleaners, ceramic core equipment, wax presses, steam autoclaves, sintering and heat‑treating furnaces.
- Prepare, repair, and finish cores using hand tools, cutting machines, and automated inspection equipment.
- Perform borescope inspections, alloy checks, surface‑finish measurements, and airflow/waterflow tests.
- Conduct manual post‑cast finishing, grit blasting, and removal of shells and gating.
- Inspect, certify, and document own work according to quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols, maintain clean work areas, and propose process‑improvement ideas.
