- Hold a graduate degree in anthropology, archaeology, geology, historic preservation, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of cultural resources management experience and 5 years of progressive leadership experience.
- Expertise in NHPA (Section 106), NEPA, and regional regulations for Alaska, Montana, Oregon, and Idaho; OQA preferred.
- Eligible or listed as a Principal Investigator under an Oregon/Washington or Idaho BLM regional cultural resources permit.
- Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain high‑performing professionals with strong communication skills.

Travel throughout the sub‑region is required to support staff, clients, and projects, and the director will collaborate with other program directors to pursue new business opportunities and uphold technical excellence.
