The Stations H&S Lead reports to the Project Health & Safety Director and will support the management team, supervisors, forepersons, and workers on the Surrey‑Langley Skytrain project, coordinating day‑to‑day health and safety requirements.
- Support and promote the Occupational Health & Safety Management System and site‑specific Safety Management Plan.
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC legislation and site safety rules.
- Liaise regularly with Site Superintendents on health and safety matters.
- Educate project personnel on safety best practices, legislation, and site‑specific requirements.
- Complete required safety documentation promptly and maintain accurate injury/illness records.
- Act as a positive safety role model and uphold safety standards.
- Conduct site inspections, implement corrective actions, and develop safe job procedures/JHAs.
- Coordinate safety training, orientations, and first‑aid coverage.
- Analyze leading and lagging safety indicators and support contractor pre‑qualification and ongoing safety management.
- Provide active support to contractors in developing and implementing compliant safety policies.

- Minimum five years of construction/infrastructure health and safety experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and report‑writing abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a large network.
- Leadership, conflict‑resolution, and relationship‑building capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Valid BC driver’s licence and clean abstract.
- Comprehensive knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations; Occupational Health & Safety certification preferred.
- Additional assets: CSO/NCSO certification, confined‑space and fall‑protection training, Train‑the‑Trainer experience, WorkSafeBC First‑Aid Attendant.
