Develop and maintain backend integrations and automation pipelines for SaaS platforms.

Tasks

-Support and enhance key backend systems including the changelog automation pipeline for Jira and the publishing pipeline for supported FME integrations on safe.com. -Develop and maintain cross-platform integrations between systems such as Jira, Zendesk, Gainsight, and other SaaS platforms. -Monitor and troubleshoot integration pipelines, ensuring system reliability and proactively resolving issues. -Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design scalable and maintainable technical solutions. -Contribute to AI-driven automation initiatives like the AI Triage Assistant for Jira Work Items. -Modernize legacy systems by refactoring code, improving observability, and transitioning fragile processes into robust, automated services.

What You Bring

-Exposure to tools like OpenAI, LangChain, or vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector). -Experience working with AI/ML-powered systems, especially in backend automation or data-driven decision-making. -Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). -Experience integrating with SaaS APIs such as Jira, Zendesk, Gainsight, or similar systems. -Experience deploying services in cloud environments (e.g., AWS Lambda, ECS). -Ability to troubleshoot and maintain backend services in production environments. -Typically 3–5 years of backend development experience. -Working knowledge of TypeScript, SQL, or FME. -Experience building backend systems or integrations using Node.js or Python. -Experience refactoring or modernizing legacy integrations or data pipelines. -Familiarity with Postman for API testing and debugging. -Proficiency in RESTful APIs, webhooks, and syncing data across cloud platforms. -Additional Requirements: Employment is subject to successful completion of reference checks and a Canadian criminal background check. -Strong communication and collaboration skills. -Location: This is a fully remote role open to candidates across Canada, except Quebec. If you’re located in the Vancouver, BC Lower Mainland, you can choose to work remotely, on-site at our Surrey headquarters, or in a hybrid arrangement.

-Compensation: Annual base salary: $103,900 to $109,000 CAD, plus eligibility for a profit-sharing bonus. This salary range reflects our reasonable estimate for the role.
