Responsible for executing assigned program elements to comply with all applicable Federal, state, and local environmental laws and policies. Executes short-term goals and priorities to support the management plan utilizing available personnel and resources.
Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work that enhances the safety of the work environment. Ensures adherence to Federal, state, and local codes concerning health, safety, and the environment.
Assists with NEPA compliance, including document development and agency approvals.
Assists with developing project cost estimates and statements of work.
Plans, coordinate, and manage all aspects of assigned environmental programs through application of professional knowledge and skill.
Responsible for communicating and coordinating assigned program issues with superiors, team members, higher headquarters, regulatory agencies, other installation units, community and other officials, and/or interest groups.
Assists with data entry and maintenance of environmental databases and governmental systems. Must be able to obtain government credentials required for accessing these resources.
Represents the installation as the technical environmental authority in assigned element. Serves as an environmental technical advisor in executing projects to the Environmental Protection Committee and serves as a support member on other applicable boards and committees.
Provides advisory services on specific problems, projects, programs, and functions in assigned program area.
