Director - Land Development

Description

• Leading and managing the executions of land development projects.
• Supporting land development entitlement activities. Strategize, solve problems, and serve as a trusted advisor to the client.
• Participating in strategic planning activities and annual financial budget
• Reviewing major work orders. Approve and justify construction budgets and operations budgets.
• Building relationships and growing business in the Land Development sector.
• Assisting in the development of intermediate and long-range plans for systems operation, maintenance, and expansion to ensure adequate services to customers.
• Building the culture of the local Land Development practice.
• Managing design team's performance on assigned projects.
• Meeting with existing and potential clients in the development community for business development purposes.
• Reviewing and recommending payment for damage claims against the company to ensure company position is consistent and legally defensible.
• Developing project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Attending functions outside of normal business hours to represent LJA at various events / seminars / workshops.
• Preparing reports for and advise senior management on a regular basis regarding the activities of the department.

Requirements

• 5+ year’s managerial experience
• 15+ years of experience in Land Development engineering
• P.E. License
• Excellent attention to detail and impeccable work ethic
• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Proficiency in appropriate software for the market
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
