The Customer Support Specialist reports to the Senior Customer Service Manager and is tasked with fostering strong relationships, processing sales and production orders, handling inquiries, and ensuring timely resolutions for internal and external customers. The role leverages technology and cross‑department collaboration to provide accurate and prompt responses.
The position encompasses relationship management, collaboration, process management, and data handling duties, including communicating production changes, managing purchase orders, estimating delivery times, monitoring fulfillment, and maintaining CRM and ERP data.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Communicate production changes proactively
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide pricing
- Collaborate with internal teams to support internal and external customers
- Record and process customer changes through production
- Escalate issues to appropriate departments
- Manage day‑to‑day activities for assigned accounts, liaising with quality, engineering, and manufacturing
- Accurately process and verify purchase orders
- Estimate delivery times, track orders through production, and monitor fulfillment, shipping, and logistics
- Manage CRM data, run daily order reports, and maintain shared communication channels
- Perform account maintenance, including portal management, within ERP and CRM systems

Candidates should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail‑oriented, and be proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP systems (Salesforce preferred). Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma (AA degree a plus) and at least one year of manufacturing or industrial experience; ERP experience such as Epicor/Kinetics is advantageous and travel is minimal.
