Lead technical and engineering aspects of process safety management, including MOC, PSSR, PHA, building siting, and process design.
Provide guidance to evaluate and communicate process safety risks.
Recommend and implement safety improvement opportunities based on industry trends.
Oversee daily reporting of Process Safety Barrier Health.
Manage PHA/LOPA teams, review and approve associated action items.
Lead investigations of process safety events.
Develop, deliver, and update training programs aligned with technology and best practices.
Provide technical assurance for operational risk processes such as car sealing, start‑up procedures, SOP revisions, event reporting, root‑cause analysis, permits to work, SIMOPs, inhibits/bypasses, safety‑critical element management, and pre‑startup safety reviews.
Monitor safety metrics, analyze data for trends, and make recommendations.
Participate in pre‑start‑up/readiness reviews and Go‑No‑Go decisions for major equipment.
Coordinate with contractor CSU teams, engineering, and operations.
Influence and promote a strong process‑safety culture.
Proactive, asks targeted questions to ensure right solutions.

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Process or Mechanical Engineering (other engineering fields considered with experience).
7–10 years of experience, preferably in LNG or oil & gas (other industries also considered).
Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing safety systems and processes.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, industry codes, and best practices with demonstrated application.
Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) in good standing.
Forward‑thinking with ability to identify and drive improvement opportunities.
Results‑oriented with clear communication skills.
Respectful communicator who incorporates diverse ideas.
Capable mentor and coach for junior engineers.
