LOSS PREVENTION MANAGER

Description

• Supervise the overnight loss prevention team to ensure consistent coverage, professionalism, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Assist in onboarding and training new dock attendants and provide ongoing support to ensure team competency and cohesion.
• Perform regular inspections of marina facilities and work closely with maintenance or management teams to report and resolve any issues.
• Oversee proper documentation of vessel movements, security logs, and nightly reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Provide coaching and corrective guidance as needed, ensuring all dock attendants meet performance expectations and follow standard operating procedures.
• Develop and manage staff schedules, including coverage planning, time-off approvals, and ensuring shifts are appropriately staffed at all times.
• Monitor and manage employee timekeeping, including overtime tracking, to ensure alignment with budgetary and operational expectations.
• Enforce all Fisher Island Club policies, marina regulations, and safety standards to ensure a secure environment for members, guests, and staff.
• Conduct periodic audits and real-time checks to ensure attendants are actively performing rounds, logging vessel activity, and following all overnight procedures.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with the Director of Marina / Marina Manager, and other relevant departments regarding incidents, staffing updates, or operational concerns.
• Ensure all staff are trained in proper use of communication tools, including VHF radio protocols and emergency procedures.
• Carry out additional supervisory duties and special assignments as directed by the Dockmaster.
• Investigate and document all reported incidents, safety issues, or irregularities occurring during the night shift.
