This is a 100% travel position where you lead daily site construction efforts and ensure crews meet production goals set by leadership. You will enforce MasTec’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, adhere to industry standards, and maintain a safe work site. Your duties include overseeing operations, managing paperwork, compiling closeout documentation, coordinating with customers, and providing leadership and mentorship to the crew.
- Implement MasTec Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
- Follow industry standards such as OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, and ANSI
- Ensure safety compliance on site and for crew
- Oversee daily operations and quality of work at assigned sites
- Maintain required daily paperwork for site and crew
- Execute job instructions provided by leadership
- Compile and upload site-specific closeout documentation
- Coordinate with customer representatives and maintain relationships
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to crew members
- Keep equipment and vehicles in operational condition
- Validate daily timesheets for management
- Mentor less-experienced technicians
- Prioritize safety in daily work

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, delivers high-quality work, and enjoys hands‑on problem solving on long-term projects. You must have at least a high school diploma or GED, five years of industry experience, and strong knowledge of construction, rigging, and safety regulations. Additional certifications, a valid driver’s license, and the physical ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, and work up to 12 hours are required.
- Consistently deliver high-quality workmanship
- Strong problem‑solving and hands‑on technical skills
- Minimum high school diploma/GED and 5+ years industry experience
- Proficiency in construction, rigging, safety, and industry knowledge
- Working knowledge of safety standards; WSA certification preferred
- Relevant certifications (First Aid, Safety, Rescue, Wiltron, Anritsu, Fiber, PIM, CPR, Connector attachment)
- Ability to read site plans, RFDS, construction drawings, and SOW
- Valid driver’s license meeting company policy
- Ability to maintain FDOT log books (training provided)
- Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills
- Ability to lead, teach, and train proper work and safety procedures
- Physical fitness to climb towers, lift 50 lb, and work up to 12 hours
- Proficient with paperwork tools such as Excel and Word
