The primary responsibility is to deliver the highest level of service, solving facility inefficiencies and addressing service‑related items. As a trusted advisor, the technician will provide solutions during commissioning and aftermarket service, recommend efficiency improvements, identify upselling opportunities, and generate quotes to support recommendations.
Candidates must be members or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry, and have at least three years of practical experience with the listed HVAC equipment. Required skills include strong mechanical troubleshooting, the ability to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, and screw chiller components, and effective written and verbal communication. Travel of 10‑20 % may be required, and applicants must possess a universal EPA refrigerant license, any applicable state or local licenses, and a valid driver’s license.
Technicians will work with residential and/or ducted products, air‑cooled or water‑cooled chillers, air handling units (AHUs), and rooftop ducted units. The role includes factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA), monetary rewards, advancement opportunities, incentive programs, and a #1 focus on employee safety. Tools, uniforms, and a company vehicle are provided to ensure high‑standard service delivery.
The position is a bargaining‑unit role with a target hourly rate of $30.64, determined by collective bargaining agreements, and includes benefits provided through a local labor union.
