The Leader, IT O&E Applications will analyze, propose, oversee the development and implementation of, update and maintain, educate, and report on the effectiveness of strategies, processes, goals, and policies necessary to provide the support of the IT O&E applications. They also will maintain awareness of current technology and equipment advances through research, training, and participation in industry associations. The Leader oversees training programs to enhance skills and technical competence of personnel as well as represents IT O&E applications interests to other leaders, managers, and upper management as well as other duties as required and assigned.

This position is responsible for the direction and oversight of Company’s IT Operations & Engineering (O&E) Applications. This position is responsible for supervisory leadership, strategy implementation, and oversight in this area. A significant level of independent thought and action, based on extensive experience and sound judgment, is used to fulfill the position’s requirements.

  • Ensure knowledge transfer to team members and effectively manage remotely based teams
  • Oversee correction of O&E application related issues and concerns
  • Engage in consistent performance management (e.g., coaching, teaching, appraising, and mentoring)
  • Develop relationships with O&E customers to ensure goals are being met
  • Ensure alignment of department goals and activities with corporate Vision, Mission, goals, and strategies
  • Determine directions related to new innovations and modernization of O&E applications
  • Perform employee performance appraisals and coach employees to gain efficiencies, to
  • Provide consultative support to other departments
  • prepare for added responsibilities and ensure succession planning is in place
  • Coordinate O&E application development, building in redundancy and room for growth, and
  • Serve as a role model for Company’s Guiding Principles and actively exhibiting behaviors which champion its Vision and Mission
  • Account for the performance and achievement of employees in reporting area and teach employees in area to be likewise personally accountable
