You will manage geometry-driven workflows, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of steel and bridge projects. Your expertise will bridge the gap between engineering design and fabrication requirements, enabling efficient production and successful onsite execution.
- Maintain project controls, including schedules, variation tracking, milestone reporting, and geometric accuracy metrics.
- Lead geometric modeling activities for steel and bridge projects, with a focus on complex geometry such as curved alignments, skews, cambers, deflections, and variable structural profiles.
- Uphold DBM Vircon’s quality standards, modelling protocols, and digital engineering best practices.
- Ensure geometric accuracy and constructability across all modelled components, including primary/secondary steel, connection interfaces, plates, welds, bolts, and erection assemblies.
- Identify and mitigate geometry-related risks, issues, and design discrepancies.
- Review and approve geometry models and deliverables prepared by team members.
- Interpret architectural and structural engineering drawings, project specifications, design reports, and digital models to define geometric requirements.
- Produce fabrication-ready documentation, including shop drawings, erection drawings, bills of material (BoMs), cutting lists, bolt and weld schedules.
- Lead technical coordination with engineers, fabricators, erectors, architects, and project stakeholders to validate geometry and resolve technical issues.
- Support tender proposals, client presentations, and consulting reports as required.
- Mentor and guide modelers and detailers, building internal capability in geometry execution and digital project delivery.
- Drive proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives, technical requirements, and change management.
- Manage project planning, resourcing, deliverables, timelines, and reporting for geometry-related scopes.
- Develop and oversee highly detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures (preferred) or equivalent steel-detailing software.
