The Material Engineer role, based on‑site in Dubai, ensures that all materials used in projects comply with project specifications and are approved by relevant authorities. This position reports to the Resident Engineer and plays a critical part in maintaining quality and schedule compliance.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and approving contractor material proposals, overseeing daily site activities, conducting factory and supplier inspections, following up on testing and approvals, monitoring material delivery accuracy, and preparing detailed reports for the Resident Engineer.
Candidates must hold a BSc from a recognized university, possess Dubai Central Laboratory approval, and have at least ten years of experience in design, construction, and supervision of water pipelines, sewerage systems, rising mains, and pumping stations. Thorough knowledge of Dubai’s infrastructure networks and extensive experience with ISO 9000 quality inspections are also required.
