Forestry Specialists identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines, then submit inspection results with recommendations to clients. They plan, direct, and coordinate assigned tree‑clearance crews, negotiate access issues, and serve as a liaison between clients, crews, and customers.
ACRT, Inc. is seeking energetic, experienced professionals who enjoy working outdoors for its full‑time Forestry Specialist position. The role is ideal for seasoned individuals with an educational background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation or related disciplines, and who have relevant field experience.
Candidates must have an associate or bachelor's degree in Forestry, Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science or a related field, or a high‑school diploma/GED with two years of utility vegetation management (waivable with five years experience). Preferred qualifications include vegetation‑management experience, ISA Arborist certification, and GIS data‑collection skills. Required competencies are strong computer skills (Microsoft Office), excellent verbal and written communication, multitasking, time‑management, and the ability to work independently in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and occasional overnight travel. A valid driver’s license is also required.
