The Role

Tasks

-Conduct virtual job-site assessments and document relevant details. -Support TC equipment preparation when necessary. -Partner with HR and Operations Managers to support coaching and counseling efforts for employees. -Coordinate the scheduling, routing, and dispatching of Traffic Control (TC) crews based on skillset & experience, availability, and job requirements. -Adjust traffic control schedules based on real-time changes (e.g., absences, cancellations). -Collaborate with the Safety & Training Team to identify and recommend training opportunities for field staff. -Provide direction and oversight to Dispatchers, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. -Report workforce constraints or scheduling issues to your reporting manager. -Provide on-site or remote support to address issues as they arise. -Monitor job site durations and coordinate crew relief when needed. -Regularly monitor email communication and respond in a timely, professional manner. -Review traffic control plans and permits to ensure accurate crew deployment. -Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards. -Communicate equipment and personnel needs to Warehouse and Operations teams. Support Warehouse and Inventory teams as needed. -Manage and record employee callouts, absences, and morning job cancellations. -Respond to emergency dispatch needs, including after-hours calls and remote jobsite coordination. -Assist in completing incident reports as required. -Record and input job orders into the scheduling system based on customer requests.

What You Bring

-High school diploma or equivalent required. -Ability to think strategically and improve dispatch operations through process refinement and workforce planning. -Experience with resource scheduling and workforce dispatching in a construction services environment, industry specific experience a plus. -ATSSA TCT (Traffic Control Technician), TCS (Traffic Control Supervisor) certifications preferred. -At least 3 years of experience in a Supervisor or Lead dispatcher role, or equivalent experience. -Proven ability to lead and support a dispatch team (minimum 3 team members). -Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. -High-level problem-solving and decision-making ability, especially under pressure. -Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required. -Lifting up to 50 pounds -Valid California Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record required. -Strong multitasking, organization, and time-management skills. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and ability to learn new software tools quickly (Salesforce experience a plus). -Ability to read and interpret Traffic Control Plans. -Professional communication skills with a commitment to excellent customer service.
