The Applications Manager builds and mentors a high‑performing, inclusive support team, leads and sequences project portfolios to maximize business value, and owns the application roadmap including release planning, integrations, and environment strategies. They establish configuration standards, data integrity practices, and compliance controls, while aligning with infrastructure, security, data, and BI teams to deliver integrated, secure solutions. Partnering with enterprise architecture, they drive standardization, reduce technical debt, ensure “keep the lights on” performance, monitor application health, and lead root‑cause analyses, major incident and problem management activities, as well as vendor relationships.
ADS is seeking a skilled and forward‑thinking Applications Manager to lead a team responsible for delivering, supporting, and continuously enhancing enterprise business applications. This role oversees the full lifecycle of ADS’s application portfolio—planning, implementation, maintenance, optimization—and ensures a strategic roadmap aligned to business objectives and IT standards.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business, or a related field (master’s preferred) and brings 5–8+ years of enterprise application experience, including ERP, SCM, CRM, web, or domain‑specific platforms. They have at least 3 years of experience leading teams of analysts, developers, and project managers—including remote leadership—broad experience across cloud applications, custom development, and deployment environments, and familiarity with ServiceNow and ITIL‑aligned service management practices.
Strong people‑leadership, a solid technical foundation in the software development lifecycle, and executive‑level communication skills are essential. The role requires high analytical, critical‑thinking, and decision‑making abilities, excellent organizational and time‑management skills to balance competing priorities, and business relationship management and cross‑functional collaboration skills. The ability to thrive in a fast‑growth, dynamic environment is also critical.
ADS offers comprehensive health and welfare benefits, including medical, prescription drug, telemedicine, high‑deductible health plan with HSA, dental, vision, virtual physical therapy, employee assistance, and voluntary accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnification programs. Financial benefits include a 401(k) plan with company match, employee stock purchase plan, financial wellness planning, paid parental leave, flexible spending accounts, short‑ and long‑term disability, life insurance, AD&D, adoption reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, and identity theft and fraud protection, all 100% paid by ADS.
