The role involves end‑to‑end roadway design delivery, preparation and finalisation of drawings, interpretation of condition reports, design reporting and quantity computation. The engineer will promote safety, health and environment practices, mentor team members, coordinate with other disciplines, and provide technical advice, especially under DMRB specifications.
Arcadis is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead design and 3‑D modelling for design‑build and highway projects, leveraging Autodesk and Bentley tools. The candidate will act as task manager, having led teams of at least ten, and will work across all project stages from concept through construction support, with UK experience preferred.
Applicants must hold a B.Tech/B.E. in Civil (or M.Tech in Water Resources/Environmental Engineering) and possess at least 15 years of design consulting experience, including delivery of four major Canada/US projects in a lead capacity. Required skills include mastery of Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Navisworks and related software, strong English communication, project management expertise, and preferably chartered/incorporated engineer status; programming knowledge is a plus.
