Preconstruction Manager – Design Management Support

Colliers Project Leaders is seeking a Preconstruction Manager – Design Management Support to join the Owner's Rep team remotely in the US. The role provides day‑to‑day coordination and operational support for a key data‑center client, keeping the design process organized, aligned, and responsive throughout design and construction. It manages design documentation, schedules, and package tracking while maintaining Procore standards and ensuring compliance across architect and engineering partners. Acting as a liaison between design teams, project management, and construction, the position drives clarity, closes submittals, and resolves RFIs, while also assisting with construction administration, QA/QC of design issuances, and change management.

• Manage Procore file structure and ensure architect/engineer compliance.
• Maintain accurate weekly design schedules and updates.
• Track design packages, narratives, and scopes across buildings.
• Facilitate design alignment and lessons learned between buildings.
• Coordinate value engineering items and information sharing among design partners.
• Engage with design‑assist, EOR, and subcontractors; develop meeting trackers with subs and GC.
• Ensure cross‑EOR coordination and lead design meetings.
• Conduct weekly construction administration meetings with A&E partners.
• Escalate and manage submittals and RFIs.
• Perform site visits with A&E partners and QA/QC team; oversee mock‑ups and FOK.
• Serve as liaison between project management, construction management, and A&E teams.
• Support change management and PCO entitlements; advise cost management on RFIs with cost impact.
• Conduct QA/QC of design issuances and ensure change categories are documented.
• Assist with customer/tenant design integration as needed.

Requirements

• Drive design clarity and close submittals and shop drawings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4+ years experience in design/pre‑construction or design management.
• Familiarity with MEP systems and data center operations.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English for job communications.
