Designs and manufactures specialty purpose‑built vehicles and equipment for defense, fire, access, refuse and aviation.
The Field Service Technician attends customer sites to perform servicing, inspections, breakdown support, and repairs on access equipment such as elevating work platforms, lighting towers, and telehandlers. This role emphasizes superior customer service and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to meet regional customer needs.
Key duties include conducting inspections, servicing, and repairs—often on‑site to avoid off‑site transport—and traveling, sometimes overnight, to customer locations up to 25% of the time. The technician must complete all required paperwork, inspection forms, and accurate job notes promptly, and inform the Field Service Coordinator of any incomplete work to enable quoting. Additional responsibilities involve liaising with technical support, conducting van audits and stock takes, generating sales and service leads, and maintaining personal labour utilisation targets.
Minimum qualifications require prior experience in a similar mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical role, strong written and verbal communication, a valid driver’s licence, and basic literacy and numeracy skills. Preferred qualifications include a trade certification in elevating work platform technology or a related field, a working‑at‑heights licence, excellent organisational and time‑management abilities, and proficiency with web‑based software applications.
