- Ability to read blueprints and willingness to adhere to building codes
- Strong levels of communication – both written and spoken English
- Capable of working independently without constant supervision
- Problem-solving skills to identify issues and create action plans
- Ability to adapt to changing work priorities in a fast-paced, challenging environment
- Previous experience in framing, trim work, moldings, construction, cabinetry and finish work
- General operating knowledge of all tools and equipment
- Ability to work effectively with a supervisor and other tradesmen to complete projects efficiently
- Knowledge of basic construction materials, policies and procedures
- Basic math skills to perform algebra and geometry calculations related to construction tasks
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
