The role involves planning and purchasing low‑unit‑price local materials, handling accounts payable from vendors, and optimizing material requisition, purchase order, and delivery processes to ensure a smooth supply of raw materials.
The incumbent will place and verify purchase orders in SAP, monitor order status, manage overdue orders, and coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers, while providing daily material shortage and sales order status reports.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining appropriate inventory levels, managing slow‑moving and end‑of‑life materials, handling ECN approvals, spot buys, and sample orders (including PPAP and specification approvals), and ensuring timely resolution of delivery and quality issues.
- Plan and purchase low‑unit‑price local materials; manage vendor AP.
- Optimize material requisition, purchase orders, and delivery to prevent line shutdowns.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and control slow‑moving items.
- Create and release SAP purchase orders after authority verification.
- Track and confirm orders; manage overdue shipments and delivery schedules.
- Generate daily material shortage and sales order status reports.
- Verify material specifications with suppliers and update data regularly.
- Address delivery and quality issues promptly to meet production needs.
- Review supplier payment statements and collect monthly AP.
- Maintain strong vendor communication and participate in performance evaluations.
- Achieve company inventory turnover targets.
- Manage ECN approvals, end‑of‑life materials, spot purchases, and sample orders including PPAP and spec approvals.
