Represents the Indigenous Relations Department on inter–agency planning bodies and working groups related to community and system efforts to support those experiencing houselessness and barriers on the housing continuum
Identifies community needs related to houselessness and coordinated encampment response and facilitates the planning and delivery of community services to meet those needs.
Facilitates public consultation and analysis of issues and trends related to houselessness, encampments, and barriers on the housing continuum.
Develops and implements policies and procedures necessary to ensure the effective and efficient expedition of various community programs and community investments for target populations or organizations.
Provides direction and advice to support municipal policies, strategies and programs that address houselessness, collective response to encampments, and support forthose who are unhoused and facing barriers to accessing the housing continuum.
Participates and assists in the development of the City’s role in long and short-term plans and policies that align with the Plan to End Homelessness and related housing strategies
Facilitates a community development approach which assists community-based organizations that support community members who are houseless or at risk of becoming houseless to deliver programs and services that support safety, wellbeing, and inclusion regardless of background, capacities and economic status.
Facilitates and negotiates the development of partnerships that contribute to the effective response to encampments and issues faced by community members experiencing houselessness

Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply project management principles and practices.
The knowledge, skills and abilities required are obtained through completion of a four (4) year University Degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, or related field combined with a minimum of three (3) years experience in community engagement, program or policy development, including working in a facilitative role with community-based organizations that support those that experience houselessness
Ability to research, analyze and summarize reliable information and determine action required.
Knowledge of local social issues, including houselessness and related root issues that impact safety and well-being.
Must have the means and ability to travel within the City of Regina and work flexible hours, which may include evenings and weekends
Ability to use various computer software programs such as Word, Excel, asset management software and scheduling software.
Ability to negotiate mutually beneficial agreements and to manage change through decision-making, problem solving, and consensus building.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to work cooperatively with staff, peers, supervisors, volunteers, elected officials and the public.
Knowledge of and experience leading community engagement and consultation processes.
Ability to communicate ideas and concepts effectively in oral and written form to a variety of audiences including formal public presentations, written reports and the development and delivery of training and resource materials.
Successful candidates may be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check per the City of Regina's Criminal Record Check Policy.
Knowledge of needs assessment and strategic planning principles and practices, with demonstrated ability to implement sound community development processes.
