Description

The role involves planning, performing, and overseeing surveying work to deliver accurate, high‑quality outputs, coordinating projects, communicating with clients, and preparing survey documents and maps that meet professional standards and Pennsylvania licensure requirements.

The Surveyor will coordinate project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources; serve as the primary technical contact, providing regular updates to clients; conduct or supervise boundary, topographic, and construction surveys while ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance; review data and deliverables for quality, maintain documentation, support invoicing, and manage risk and compliance issues.

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with clients.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate team tasks to ensure accurate, timely completion.
• Serve as primary technical contact, providing regular project updates to clients.
• Conduct or oversee boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Ensure survey data accuracy and compliance with standards and regulations.
• Prepare survey reports, maps, plats, and legal descriptions.
• Review data and deliverables for completeness and implement quality control procedures.
• Maintain comprehensive project records, including field notes and correspondence.
• Support invoicing by assessing billing readiness and coordinating with accounting.
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting survey deliverables.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field, preferably be licensed in Pennsylvania, have experience with various surveys, possess strong knowledge of surveying standards and laws, be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, and related software, demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, and have a valid driver’s license with willingness to travel.

The position is primarily office‑based, with occasional travel for field work or client site visits.
