Ensure compliance with UK regulations (Part L, TM52/TM59, EPC) and contribute to BREEAM, WELL, or LEED credits.
Support the assessment of façade performance, passive design strategies, solar control, and building fabric optimisation.
Receive guidance and support from senior engineers while contributing to the development of junior team members.
Provide input on earlystage design decisions including massing, orientation, glazing ratios, shading, and natural ventilation feasibility.
Produce technical reports and communicate findings clearly to internal teams and clients.
Work alongside MEP, architecture, sustainability, and digital engineering teams to integrate building physics principles into design solutions.
Assist in developing, reviewing, and optimising energy strategies, operational energy assessments (TM54), and lowcarbon design solutions.
Support adoption of digital modelling workflows and best practices across projects.
Participate in internal knowledgesharing sessions, workshops, and technical learning initiatives.
Contribute to building physics workstreams on projects, including thermal, energy, daylight, overheating, natural ventilation, and comfort analysis.

Degree (BEng/BSc, ideally MSc/MEng) in Building Physics, Mechanical/Environmental Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
Proficiency with IESVE (or equivalent) including simulation, calibration, and QA.
Familiarity with parametric modelling, digital workflows, or automation tools.
Experience in building physics, energy modelling, or building performance analysis within a consultancy environment.
Chartership (CEng) via CIBSE, IMechE, or equivalent is desirable but not essential at this level.
Strong technical understanding of passive design, lowcarbon buildings, façade performance, and building environmental behaviour.
Experience assisting or mentoring junior engineers.
