The ECM/ECU Platform Lead Engineer role is responsible for guiding one or more electronic control module product lines for engine, machine, and power distribution systems. This includes leading new‑product‑introduction (NPI) programs, managing post‑launch platform maintenance, and addressing supply‑chain and quality issues to meet low‑cost producer targets.
Key duties involve working with the ECM product line manager to transition new technologies into production, overseeing NPI projects through gateway 7, monitoring cost and quality after launch, defining product design direction and standards, and creating project plans with suppliers, purchasing, systems, and product groups. The engineer must proactively manage scope changes, identify risks, and collaborate closely with the ECM hardware technical lead and cross‑functional partners.
Candidates must have strong relationship‑management abilities, deep electronics engineering knowledge, and reliability‑management expertise. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) in Electrical, Computer, or related engineering and 5+ (or 3+) years of relevant experience, with hands‑on work in ECU design, chip and board analysis, microprocessor ICs, NPI, APQP, and validation testing such as thermal, vibration, EMC, and safety compliance. Effective technical communication across teams, customers, and suppliers is essential.
The position is full‑time at the Mossville, IL office, with domestic relocation assistance available and no visa sponsorship. Compensation ranges from $128,470 to $192,710, complemented by an incentive bonus and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k), HSA, flexible spending accounts, wellness programs, employee assistance, tuition reimbursement, parental leave, and more.
