Description
- Find the optimal KONE product to meet customer’s needs for non‑standard and modernization cases.
- Select the correct product platform for the offer.
- Involve Supply Line, installation, maintenance and project management to understand material and service costs when needed.
- Ensure correct product costing in non‑standard cases for corporate and local materials.
- Create detailed custom product plans for non‑standard cases, collaborating with SL Engineering as needed.
- Create product specifications for corporate and local materials.
- Perform initial and revised non‑standard energy calculations.
- Perform simple traffic analyses.
- Conduct technical site surveys for overall engineering projects.
- Manage technical content of orders between MS 0b and MS 2z.
- Coordinate product lead times from Supply Line and local sourcing.
- Ensure the proposed product can be installed.
- Include installation cost and work effort impact in product plans, especially for non‑standard installations.
- Ensure the product meets customer’s lifecycle needs.
- Identify deviations from standard maintenance methods and find resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations and safety requirements.
- Align the product with environmental regulations.
- Ensure the product complies with KONE’s Engineering Policy.
- Provide content for pre‑tender and pre‑booking reviews (technical product, costs, lead times, risks, contract technical verification).
- Execute holistic product planning activities.
- Create layout designs.
- Analyze change requirements and propose new product designs.
- Provide details to CSE Specialist for material ordering and documentation.
- Supply product information to Project Manager, Installation Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor.
- Share knowledge with maintenance as needed.
- Participate in product and new service release information‑sharing sessions.
- Provide technical training to Sales, Installation and Maintenance per front‑line needs.
- Offer input to product offering management on customization, standardization and interface requirements.
- Contribute to the Customer Solutions Engineering virtual and local network.
- Utilize the Customer Solutions Engineering case library.
- Handle modernization engineering, including component upgrades, full replacements, or existing building lifts.
- Define local technical content in sales configuration tools.
- Act as primary front‑line technical contact for Supply Line.
- Engineer solutions for non‑standard customer builds and standard product cases such as transportation routes, special shafts and building automation systems.
