Mechanical Engineer

Description

• Perform construction administration duties to include shop drawing reviews and responding to RFIs.
• Design HVAC systems
• Select major HVAC equipment.
• Collaborates effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients.
• Attend client meetings during the design of a project and during construction.
• Design automatic temperature controls systems and specifications
• Prepare cooling and heating load calculations utilizing Trane Trace Software.
• Write reports on HVAC systems and designs.
• Attend site surveys and field measure existing conditions.
• Prepare design documents for permitting, bidding and construction.
• Prepare designs for hydronic and air distribution systems.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of design experience for HVAC systems
• Capable of writing reports on HVAC systems and designs.
• Capable of selecting major HVAC equipment and of preparing cooling and heating load calculations utilizing Trane Trace Software.
• Familiar with Trane Trace 700 or Trace 3D plus( for the cooling/heating loads calculations).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Proficient design skills in HVAC and in preparing designs for hydronic and air distribution systems.
• Professional Engineer License preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
