The Director is charged with fostering division growth through direct engagement with consultants and key industry leaders, while also forecasting staffing needs and adapting responsibilities as they evolve. Business development, relationship building, and accountability for the department’s SWOT analysis, backlog, and monthly billing are core duties. Flexibility and adaptability are essential to meet changing expectations.
In partnership with the VP of Building Design Services, the Director will support budget development, monitor financial targets, and ensure accurate timesheet and billing reporting. The role also involves contributing to the creation and implementation of BDS, QA/QC, and MEP design standards. Strategic planning includes setting 1-, 5-, and 10-year goals and identifying high-value client opportunities.
The Director will lead bi‑monthly division meetings, hold team leaders accountable, conduct performance reviews, and mentor staff toward professional goals. Coordination with HR for recruiting, training, and long‑term staffing, as well as fostering synergy across divisions, are key components of the position.

Candidates must hold a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, be a licensed Professional Engineer, and have 15+ years of relevant experience, along with a valid driver’s license. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD, CostWorks, and specification software is required, as are core competencies such as credibility, collaboration, communication, flexibility, and self‑motivation.
