  • Contribute to the continued growth of our Vancouver studio by supporting business development initiatives, proposal writing, and client relationships as your career progresses.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients, Councils, Committees, and community groups in both written and verbal formats.
  • Lead and support a diverse range of projects including land use planning, policy development, community planning, and engagement strategy.
  • Collaborate within interdisciplinary project teams that include planners, designers, engineers, and engagement specialists to deliver integrated, high-quality work.
  • Help develop clear, visually compelling materials such as reports, presentations, and graphics that communicate ideas effectively to a range of audiences.
  • Prepare and contribute to planning documents, bylaws, policies, and land use frameworks, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with client objectives.
  • Collaborating with professionals across Canada on projects that shape communities of all sizes.
  • Coordinate and deliver public and stakeholder engagement activities such as workshops, open houses, focus groups, surveys, and online engagement campaigns, ensuring inclusive and meaningful participation.
  • Contributing to projects that matter - from transformative urban redevelopments to forward-thinking greenfield communities.
  • Conduct and interpret planning research, policy analysis, demographic data, and market trends to inform planning recommendations.

  • A solid understanding of planning legislation, policy development, and municipal approval processes in British Columbia.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging materials for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, or other visualization and mapping tools is considered an asset.
  • Detail-oriented yet able to see the big picture, balancing strategic insight with technical execution.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, coordinating, and facilitating engagement activities. Candidates with IAP2 training or certification are preferred.
  • Proven project coordination and client communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • A degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Geography, Environmental Design, Economics or a related field.
  • Confident engaging with clients, stakeholders, and community members, and comfortable facilitating discussions in both public and virtual settings.
  • Curious, adaptable, and solutions-oriented with a natural ability to connect ideas across disciplines.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in planning, ideally within a consulting or multidisciplinary environment.
