Exercise safe work practices by following all Montrose safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
Assist with vendor management and procurement, i.e. labor/material cost estimates.
Review operational permits and programs to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations and control costs.
Oversee installation of soil borings, monitoring and remediation wells, and collection of environmental samples in accordance with regulatory standards.
Exhibit discretion and good judgment and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Extract, compile, and analyze data compilation to write draft reports for review.
Assist with field investigations and perform field and lab data review and evaluation for environmental compliance with permits and company standards.
Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
Participate in the company’s continuous improvement programs and support team efforts.
Generate reports to appropriate standards under guidance from senior technical staff.
Prepare and maintain required records, permits, and reports, in accordance with established guidelines by local, state, and federal agencies and company guidelines
Practice safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.

Capable of executing physical demands associated with typical environmental field duties as verified through an annual physical examination.
HAZWOPER certification is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from an accredited university, a master’s degree in Geology or Hydrogeology would be preferred.
Must have an advanced understanding of geologic principles and their application to field circumstances and be able to collect and synthesize geologic data in the field.
Able to learn and deploy commonly used field equipment such as depth-to-water meters, free product detection tools, and soil and groundwater sampling equipment
Must be able to observe and record field events as they happen with care and accuracy.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, you must have legible handwriting.
Ability to work independently, demonstrate organizational skills, and attention to detail.
4-8 years of environmental geology experience.
OSHA 1910.120 training preferred, but not mandatory-we provide OSHA training to meet the requirements of the role.
Professional Geology Registration, preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office software, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to present to supervisors.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite of computer-aided software (Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, etc.).
