Senior Estimator

Description

• Work with Project Manager and Scheduler to develop and refine Integrated Master Schedules.
• Support as directed new functions and requirements because of Risk Analysis Workshops such as contingency management and cost risk management.
• Engage with industry leaders and participate in high-profile events.
• Under the direction of the project manager, provide the project team project cost estimating during all phases of the projects.
• Support cost database development, management, and maintenance.
• Preparation of Cost Estimates from the Initiating Phase to the Project Close-Out of all assigned projects and for all disciplines.
• Establish estimating cost standards formats to ensure overall program consistency and cost quality.
• Document all Basis of Estimates and Estimate Revisions.
• Develop high-impact marketing content that showcases PTAG’s expertise.
• Utilizes Document Control to archive current and historical estimates and supporting data utilized in estimate development.
• Support Project Managers, as required, to plan projects, resolve issues and provide cost information.
• In collaboration with company project engineering, responsible for negotiating design modifications (with OE) and construction change orders with contractor.

Requirements

• T&D project experience required
• Certified Estimating Professional, desired
• Familiar with industry Cost Engineering Standards in addition to the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering and best practice 46R-11
• Professional Engineer License, desired
• Experience with Accubid preferred
• Minimum 7 years of experience in estimating the design and construction of electric transmission (38kV and above) & distribution (15kV / 34.5kV) projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or relevant.
