  • Interpret complex customer enquiries to determine product requirements and produce accurate estimates and technical drawings as required.

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of quotations, consistently meeting or exceeding company expectations.
  • Mentor and support junior estimators, sharing knowledge and expertise to develop team capability.
  • Respond to customer queries regarding quotations with professionalism and technical accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to align estimating efforts with production capabilities and optimise customer conversion.

The purpose of this role is to utilise advanced estimating expertise to deliver accurate and efficient take-off and quotation services to customers. The Experienced Estimator is responsible for producing detailed estimates and technical drawings that meet specific client needs, supporting the sales function, and ensuring seamless communication and service delivery. This role demands strong decision-making abilities, technical proficiency, and the capability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. As a key contributor to the team, the Experienced Estimator is expected to provide a high level of service, drive continuous improvement, and support the development of best practices within the department.

  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify cost-effective solutions tailored to customer requirements.

  • Proven experience in an Estimating role, preferably within a technical, construction, or manufacturing environment.
  • Confident communicator with well-developed presentation, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Proactive and professional approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and CAD software (including AutoCAD).
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
