Senior HS&E Advisor

Leads HS&E advisors to implement safety and environmental standards for water projects.
Supports directly or ensures that sufficient HS&E support is made available to operational staff for the review of project documentation such as Construction Phase Plans, Emergency Response Plans, high-risk method statements and risk assessments, etc.
Support the HS&E Advisors or lead incident investigations to identify root causes and recommendations to prevent recurrence. Monitor and manage incident reports within the designated timescale and manage close out within the approved system. Review the quality of incident reports and where necessary provide support to improve.
Conducts site safety and environmental audits and undertakes ISO 45001 audits to ensure compliance with our management systems. Ensures necessary outputs are recorded within our systems and advises management as appropriate to ensure timely actions management.
Lead the HS&E Advisors, ensuring that they are actively engaged within their framework and are contributing to the successful delivery of projects by providing a professional advice and direction.
Support the HS&E Advisors to provide technical and specialist guidance to line and site management in the implementation of HS&S programmes and initiatives.
Ensures a programme of HS&E monitor, audit, and review by the HS&E Advisors is conducted at our workplaces on a regular basis. The programme shall include specific trends where necessary. Ensures that the quality of those inspections is maintained to a high standard.
Supports our learning and development programme by preparing and delivering training and awareness sessions, instructions, best practice guidance, codes of practice, environmental information, etc. to our operational and leadership teams, our clients and at industry events as required.
Assists in the onboarding and management review of our supply chain partners applicable to project or business scope where necessary.
Support the implementation of our HS&E strategy ensuring this is also embedded within the HS&E Advisors actions to drive continual improvement through the business addressing short-, medium-, and long-term growth and learning.
Ensure our Business Management System has been correctly implemented, taking account of client requirements, to align with our overall strategy and driving performance through our processes and standards.
Actively support the HS&E Advisors to ensure the promotion of our behavioural programme; ‘Challenging Beliefs, Affecting Behaviours’, so that it is consistent with our business leadership ambitions.
