Senior Structural Engineer (10+ years)

Description

• Perform and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing for commercial and institutional building projects.
• Collaborate with architects, owners, and contractors to produce coordinated, high‑quality structural drawings.
• Lead and manage a team of engineers, designers, and drafters in executing structural designs.
• Conduct project team meetings to ensure effective communication throughout the design phase.
• Interface with contractors during construction to minimize complications and achieve positive results.
• Manage projects profitably while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Interact with new and existing clients, providing architectural consultation to help win structural projects.
• Assist the General Manager with structural department production management.
• Provides multi‑discipline engineering services, corrosion control, commissioning, and project/construction management.

Requirements

We seek a Senior Structural Engineer with at least 10 years of experience, a structural engineering license, and solid expertise in steel, concrete, wood, and masonry design for commercial and institutional buildings.

• Hold a B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering (M.S. preferred).
• Be a licensed Structural Engineer (S.E.) with 10+ years of experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, and related analysis software.
• Familiar with DSA and OSHPD project requirements (preferred).
• Knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC) and U.S. design standards.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, organizational, leadership, and time‑management skills.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary design teams.
• Position not eligible for sponsorship and not remote.
