In the first year you will focus on the fundamentals of consulting to find your rhythm in the industry. By the second year you can shape your development, either deepening technical expertise or learning from senior mentors.
We are looking for candidates with geology or hydrogeology experience, or an applied environmental science background that includes geography, geology or chemistry. Graduates will join design teams, contribute to bids and tenders, and may take part in occasional site work.
Our two‑year Graduate Development Program gives new graduates a smooth start to a consulting career. You’ll work alongside peers, managers and mentors who help you navigate challenges, and you’ll gain exposure to the many career pathways GHD offers.
Your application will go through screening, a recorded video interview, a face‑to‑face or virtual interview with the prospective team, psychometric assessments, and finally an offer discussion covering salary, start date and background checks.
GHD is committed to an inclusive hiring process; candidates who are neurodiverse or have a disability can request adjustments at any stage.
Most full‑time graduate roles start in February 2026, although some teams may begin earlier in mid‑2025, and casual opportunities may be available during your final year of study.
