- Take responsibility for a staff of construction managers, resident engineers, resident project representatives, inspectors, office contract administration staff, and other technical staff involved in the construction oversight of various projects.
- Be involved with clients in marketing, planning, proposals, interviews, project production, and related issues.
- Will be responsible for verifying that Health & Safety protocols are followed.
- This role will require coordination with the KS/MO Area Field Services Manager, the department, and respective section managers to maximize field services provided to HDR clients.
- May function as the Construction Manager, Project Manager, or Resident Project Representative on projects where appropriate. Take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities. Other duties will include staff scheduling and oversight as well as professional development.
- Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts.
- See that all work is planned, organized, controlled, and evaluated through proactive project management system.
- Implement, monitor and support company policy.
- Manage and develop multidiscipline teams.
- Select, train, develop and manage technical personnel.
- Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions and lead and coordinate services with other sections.
- Take responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support.

- Water/Wastewater Certifications and Experience.
- Experience in alternative delivery construction is a plus.
- PE License Preferred.
- DOT Certifications and Experience.
- BS/in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline is preferred.
