Electrical Design Engineer

• Track design deliverables against baselines, identify risks (design conflicts, material delays), and implement corrective measures.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, layout drawings, wiring diagrams and cable schedules using CAD / design tools.
• Participate in site visits, design review meetings, and coordinate revisions/clarifications with stakeholders.
• Specify electrical vendors/sub-contractors, assess their deliverables, verify conformity with design specs.
• Ensure designs comply with Indian/regional electrical codes, safety standards and best practices.
• Review material submittals, shop drawings and supervise quality in implementation.
• Identify design / execution risks early (e.g., load oversizing, insufficient cable routing, project interface conflicts) and propose mitigations.
• Work closely with project managers, mechanical/interior/MEP teams and contractors to ensure electrical designs integrate seamlessly.
• Select appropriate electrical components and materials based on performance, cost and code compliance.
• Conduct load calculations, circuit protection sizing, and system simulations as applicable.
• Coordinate delivery of materials, ensure proper technical specification, and resolve any vendor/subcontractor issues.
• Review completed designs, gather lessons learned, contribute to process improvements and design standards documentation.
• Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), revision drawings, change logs, and design documentation.

We at Aldecor are looking for a proactive Electrical Design Engineer with approximately 5 years of experience to design, develop and implement electrical systems in our building/services/interior fit-out environment. The ideal candidate will ensure that electrical designs are compliant, cost-effective, robust, and delivered in sync with project timelines, budgets and stakeholder expectations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Around 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering (ideally in building services / interiors / fit-out / MEP / construction environment).
• Exposure to dynamic project environment with cross-functional collaboration and visible impact.
• Detail-oriented with good time management, ability to manage multiple design deliverables and stakes.
• Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, BOMs, CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN etc), load calculations, wiring/cable routing.
• Strong coordination and communication skills, ability to work across teams (architects/interior/MEP/vendors).
