  • Conduct asbestos inspections, lead-based paint surveys, and lead in drinking water sampling in New Jersey and Mid-Atlantic area and assist in other duties, such as industrial hygiene monitoring, indoor air quality, site H&S oversight, data review, and report preparation.
  • You will also receive cross-training to support our Emergency Response Team. In this capacity, you'll participate in field activities such as soil and groundwater sampling, and may contribute to preparation of environmental sampling documents, permit applications, compliance plans, and technical reports as requested by project managers.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office® products.
  • Current NJDOH lead-based paint inspector and risk assessor certifications.
  • Experience in technical report writing preferred.
  • Personal interface and communications abilities and able to work as a member of a field and office team.
  • Experience in preparation of inspection reports.
  • New York and Pennsylvania asbestos and lead-based paint certifications.
  • This is a hands-on position involving travel to locations throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas, as well as overnight and out of state travel approximately 20% of the year. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, be able to successfully complete a medical exam designed to evaluate the ability to perform physical requirements of the position (e. g. bending, kneeling, standing, confined space entry, and lifting and carrying objects weighing 30 pounds), and be able to wear a respirator.
  • Experience with applicable Federal, state and local regulations.
  • Current AHERA asbestos training certifications (inspector at a minimum).
  • Experience performing Site Safety for construction/remediation projects.
  • NJ AST certification.
  • Project management experience with smaller projects.
  • 1 to 5 years’ experience in conducting asbestos and lead-based surveys.
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, or related field.
  • Safety, HAZWOPER, and confined space training.
