Senior Risk and Reporting Manager (M3)

Description

• Advocating Mace's value of Safety First, leading safety and quality standards.
• Works with Risk Service Directors and Project Managers to identify opportunities and mitigate risks/issues.
• Leads integration of risk management with other project disciplines.
• Supporting long-term strategic development.
• Manages and directs clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams on relevant risk management matters.
• Collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to implement programmes.
• Designs and implements effective risk management frameworks and reporting strategies.
• Supports hub leadership with resourcing and recruitment for assigned commissions.
• Leading and developing your team effectively.
• Accountable for risk management performance across assigned commissions and clusters.
• Monitoring delivery of key projects and providing strategic direction.
• Managing project budgets within ethical and legal standards.
• Develops management strategies, plans, processes, and tools, tracking progress against KPIs.
• Partners with clients to manage expectations and build strong professional relationships.
• Works collaboratively to manage carbon risks and support net zero transition during delivery.
• Provides comprehensive advice to project teams on risk standards, processes, tools, and reporting to achieve key objectives.
• Promoting quality and Service Excellence.
• Facilitates and supports periodic risk reporting and structured governance meetings.
• Implementing effective programme delivery environments.
• Provides line management and mentorship to junior risk staff.
• Championing diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing of our people.

Requirements

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty of outcome or impact.
• Practical knowledge of risk reporting and analytics opportunities.
• Relevant industry experience and/or qualifications.
• Experience of setting up effective risk management frameworks and assurance strategies.
• Possessing advanced health and safety knowledge relevant to our projects.
• Experience of effective leadership on complex construction projects.
• Leadership qualities demonstrating curiosity, collaboration, and advocacy.
• Deep domain knowledge of providing risk leadership in sectors like rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, hospitals, etc.
• Good understanding of construction projects, dependencies, and interfaces within the project lifecycle.
• Knowledge of risk tools, techniques, and software (e.g., Active Risk Manager, @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis).
• Knowledge of tools like MS Excel, Power BI.
• Ability to create engaging presentations for diverse audiences.
