Implementation tasks involve procedure changes, preventive‑maintenance basis development, work order creation, outage scheduling, nuclear program documentation, NRC commitment closure, and inspection procedures.
Key responsibilities include system scoping, screening, and aging‑management review for SLR applications; collaborating with engineering and regulatory teams to ensure NRC compliance; documenting engineering program basis, validating data, tracking changes, and controlling configuration; road‑mapping inspections; reviewing work orders; acting as a technical expert with clients and the NRC; staying current on aging‑management regulations; and promoting continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration.
We are seeking an experienced License Renewal (LR) and Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) engineer in the nuclear industry. Ideal candidates have experience with LR/SLR applications, nuclear engineering programs, work management, NRC submittals, and inspections.
The position uses a hybrid schedule, requiring three days per week on site. Candidates must hold an ABET‑accredited bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field and have five or more years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in the nuclear or heavily regulated sectors. Strong systems‑thinking, documentation skills, and familiarity with QA/QC, configuration management, and engineering documentation systems are required.
Preferred experience includes nuclear power plant operations, design, or engineering; familiarity with NRC, INPO, or DOE regulations; prior involvement in license renewal or aging‑management programs; and knowledge of industry documents such as NUREG‑1800, NEI 95‑10, and NEI 17‑01.
