Use drawings/prints and instruction manuals to perform construction, maintenance, and operation of electrical facilities in high voltage substations.
Operate construction/maintenance equipment (bucket/derrick trucks, oil processing equipment, etc.) and tools in high voltage substations.
Collaborate with line crews and contractors as assigned in high voltage substations.
The logging and maintenance of operating records as required.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain communication, data processing, and computerized control equipment in high voltage substations.
Perform switching, obtain clearances, and ensure site safety for work in high voltage substations.
Maintenance of solid state devices, computers, telemetering equipment, protective relays, and switchboard Instruments.

Use of the oscilloscope, wattmeter, phase angle meter, signal generator, electronic coupler, phase shifter, and other instruments and last equipment required to test certain equipment.
Knowledge of electrical principles and safety practices in high-voltage environments
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and prints
Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
High School Diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
